General Payment Terms
1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the contractual relationship between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Switzerland-Iraq (CCI CH-IRQ) and participants registering for paid or free events via the CCI CH-IRQ website. The CCI CH-IRQ reserves the right to amend the GTC at any time without prior notice. Only the version valid at the time of registration applies.
2. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By ticking the box “I have read and accept the terms and conditions”, the participant acknowledges having read these GTC and accepts them without reservation. The participant declares they are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity, or parental authorisation, to register online for CCI CH-IRQ events.
3. Prices
Prices are stated in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include VAT. The price displayed at the time of registration is binding. No refund will be issued in the event of cancellation less than 48 hours before the event.
4. Payment Methods
Payments must be made in Swiss Francs (CHF) only.
a) Electronic payment methods: CCI CH-IRQ accepts Visa, Mastercard, and PostFinance.
b) Payment security: All payments made via the CCI CH-IRQ website are processed through a secure online payment system.
5. Validity of Online Registration
Participants are responsible for ensuring that their registration details are correct. CCI CH-IRQ reserves the right to refuse admission to any person without refund of the amount paid.
6. Code of Conduct and Safety
Participants agree to comply with the rules of conduct and safety set by the organiser. In case of non-compliance, CCI CH-IRQ may exclude participants from the event without refund or compensation. CCI CH-IRQ is not responsible for lost items during the event.
7. Force Majeure
CCI CH-IRQ cannot be held responsible for non-performance resulting from force majeure. In the event of event cancellation, CCI CH-IRQ will determine the applicable refund policy. Only the amount paid will be refunded; no further compensation may be claimed.
8. Data Protection
All personal data is treated as confidential. Information necessary for registration management is processed electronically and may be shared with associated companies for order management or service delivery purposes. By accepting these GTC, the participant consents to the use of their data as described above.
9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies to the legal relationship between CCI CH-IRQ and the participant. Failing an amicable resolution, the ordinary courts of the Republic and Canton of Geneva shall have jurisdiction over any disputes concerning the conclusion, interpretation, or execution of the contract or payment of registrations. The legal venue is Geneva, subject to appeal to the Swiss Federal Supreme Court.
